I’ve lived in Fishers for 15 years and I absolutely love living here… it’s actually the first and only place I’ve ever chosen to call home. Throughout my life, “home” was determined by the needs of the military during my father’s, my own, and my former husband’s active duty service. I am a mother, realtor, businesswoman, and Veteran.
When I moved to Fishers, it was heralded among the top 5 places to live in the US, so deciding to establish roots here was an easy decision. Great schools, safe neighborhoods, low property taxes, family-centered amenities, and Hoosier hospitality won me over. Now that I am an empty nester, I’m able to freely and completely serve my community in a larger capacity. Over the last 5 years, I've noticed some changes, and I see an opportunity to preserve the essence of Fishers--great schools, safe community, strong property value and fantastic people.
I fully support properly funded Fishers schools, and I fully support the HSE referendum continuation. It is vital that our children receive the best education possible and this continued referendum ensures that will happen. Thank you to our wonderful teachers, administrators, school staff, and school board members for ensuring we remain on the right track! Tiffanie Ditlevson speaking at an American Enterprise Institute event. She has been consulted on education and other important topics that will help the state of Indiana.
In her response to Tammy Mac’s question, Tiffanie Ditlevson further stated, “We need to care because so many Americans- Brown Americans, Black Americans, travel internationally and just knowing that our country will exchange criminals for Americans. That’s putting a bounty on the heads of Americans.”
Ditlevson is the founding member of the City of Fishers Armed Forces Commission focused on growing patriotism in Fishers. In April 2022, she was appointed to Hamilton East Public Library Board by the Hamilton County Council. In addition, she is a long-standing member of Catholic Charities of Indianapolis Agency Council and serves as Vice President of the Council; she is newly appointed to the Indiana United Services Organization (USO) Board. She is an active member of Ernie Pyle Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) Post 1120 and serves as the District 11 Chaplain. Previously, she was elected to and served three terms as President of the Parent Teach Organization at Fishers’ Geist Montessori School.
Ditlevson, who has lived in Fishers for the 13 years, was named to the inaugural class of the Indiana Republican Diversity Leadership Series, a seminar and leadership training program that will provide the preparation and resources needed to increase the engagement of minority Republican leaders in Indiana. The 17 Hoosiers will meet monthly starting this month for six months, followed by a trip to Washington, D.C. Class sessions will cover topics including civic engagement, campaign management, communication and all levels of government.
I love Fishers and I am thrilled to be a founding member of Fishers One—working to find solutions to local issues and preserve our community. Fishers One is a grassroots, community-based organization dedicated to keeping people informed while restoring academic excellence in our schools, holding elected officials accountable, maintaining Fishers as a great place to live, and cultivating the next generation of leaders. As of December 2022, Fishers One has assisted in the election, re-election, caucusing and appointment of 11 Fishers One members and candidates into community leadership positions.
The Hamilton East Public Library Board of Trustees is committed to making our library a better place for our community. As I represent Fishers and Noblesville taxpayers, my personal goal is to: elevate the library, improve its communication with patrons and parents, and ensure the proper placement of materials.
Since my appointment in the spring, I oversaw the sale of a library land asset and netted an additional $400,000 by insisting the land sell at appraised value; voted for the addition of a merit-based pay component to library salaries to better compensate library employees; and I tirelessly review the libraries finances to find anomalies and opportunities to conserve taxpayer dollars.
I’m looking forward to the grand re-opening of our renovated libraries in 2023!!
